Severity assessment (e-triage)
On board the operator is assisted by instruments and sensors in a first aid kit, with a tablet that hosts apps and interfaces capable of detecting and transmitting the critical parameters of the accident victim to the ground. In his intervention, the operator - even offline (therefore without an active connection with the remote expert) - is guided along an assisted path based on predefined protocols and guidelines, with the support of algorithms based on artificial intelligence that facilitate the interpretation of symptoms (AI-enabled “e-triage” app).
Ground listening station
Marine assistance calls are directed to a desk manned by multilingual staff operating 24/7. At the time of the voice and video connection, the ground station receives on the data channel the event card opened on the tablet by the operator on board, with essential information on the status of the open ticket and the GPS coordinates of the event.
Data management and security
An algorithm extracts the information of interest to update the personal medical record of the treated subject. In case of transfer of the patient on land, the information collected on board can be shared with the rescuers and forwarded to the destination healthcare facility. All sensitive data is processed according to current GDPR/HIPAA requirements.
